Hi guys this is what I did for my reading blog.
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 7 and in 2021 I will be a year 8. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Turn milk into plastic
I want to learn how to make plastic from milk.
Materials:
- Stove or oven or microwave.
- Measuring cup.
- measuring spoon.
- 1 cup of milk.
- Pot or microwaveable container.
- White vinegar.
- Paper towels.
- Spoon.
- Mug.
- Optional food colouring.
- Glitter or cookie cutters for decoration.
Method:
- Pour one cup of milk into a pot or a microwaveable container.
- Heat it until it is steaming.
- Add four teaspoons of white vinegar into your milk.
- Stir the mixture with your spoon.
- Stack four layers of paper towels so it is safe to get damp.
- Scoop the curds out with a spoon and place them on the paper towels.
- Fold the paper towels over the curds and squash them down to absorb the liquid.
- Knead all of the curds together.

Measuring Mentos and coke
Aim:
I want to find out how many bubbles are made when Mentos are dropped in coke.
Method:
Equipment:
- Coke
- Coke zero
- Sprite
- Mentos
- Measuring cylinder
- Safety glasses
- Detergent.
Instructions:
- Put safety glasses on.
- Get coke and Mentos.
- Pour 20 mils of coke into 100 mil cylinder.
- Add 5 mils of detergent to the coke.
- Then measure how high the bubbles get
Results:
What I found out today that the more detergent you put in the higher the bubbles will go, the sprite went the highest.
