Sunsmart.

Yesterday we had a Lady come in and talk to us about being SunSmart. Then she gave us these beads and told Acasia to go and take them outside and count to thirty and when she came back the beads were a different color. She also told us that we need to wear sunhats sunblock and I also learned that it's not actually the sun that burns us it is actually Ultra-Violet Radiation so we made these bracelets that tell us when there is UV.

 In Whakamawa, we made a google drawing about our mat manners and what we need to improve on. 

For values, we have been learning about the initiative so we had to read these problems and either solve them or not solve them my next step is to learn more on initiative.

 My next step is to get them all wrong.

In class, we have been learning what our strengths are and to focus on what's strong, not wrong. My next step is to do more than I did.

Today at school we had the people from fanimals come to our school fanimals is a tv show on tv 2. We also had this dog called Molson he was a golden retriever we also got a photo with Jess and Molson.

The whole school got to pat Molson and get a card with a picture of them that is already signed.

Smart goals

In Whakamanawa we have been doing our smart goals for the term 

then at the end of the term we will reflect on our goals.

For values, we have been learning pride in achievement so we had to list five things we have pride in achievement in my next step is to be able to add more ideas.

Yesterday we went to Orana Park, we saw the porcupines there were two of them I don't know their names though we kept on walking until we saw this gigantic kiwi statue hen we had morning tea and had a toilet break. After we did that we went to see the Lemur we found out that the leader would actually be a female instead of a male.

After we saw that we went to see the Tasmanian devils we found the first one which I think was the oldest, we found out that the Tasmanian devils were endangered and I'm pretty sure that it was because of a disease. But first, we saw the springboks then we saw the tiger there was only one though because the brother had died of old age I think I learned that since the tiger was from Sumatra it was smaller than usual.  

After that, we went to the lions then went to the spider monkeys we also went into the Reptile house and it was really hard to find them but the tuataras were not there though we also had lunch then we went to see the farmhouse and saw pigs and lamas and sheep and I think I saw donkeys  we also saw bisons and buffalos and addax and zebras and we also saw gorillas I think their names were Fuzu Futaki and Mahali but first we saw the cheetahs it was really hard to find them because they hiding in the grass but then someone found them but you could just see their heads then we went on this miny hill and saw their whole bodies then we saw the Oranatangs the only male was 38 years old the youngest I forgot ho old it was and the oldest I also forgot how old it and we went to the Giraffes first then we left but my day was great.    

For math, we have been learning a new strategy and here are some examples.  

For our expectations, we have been doing break time and we had to do break time and do a drawing about it.

For math, we have been creating a math quiz using google slides and we also had to blog post.

For math, my group have been learning a new strategy so we created a google drawing/slide to explain how we use these strategies.  

In whakamanawa we have been learning about contributing so we all created a google drawing about it.

For math, we have been learning how to add the tens first then add the ones and then we add them all together for example.
43+27= (40 +20) +( 3 + 7=9) =60 + 9 =69

123+ 145= (100+200) +(20 +40)+ ( 3+5)=168





And that is the way we are learning to use for math.

In Whakamanawa we have been learning how to create a quality blog post so we have created a slide using a rubric and  I think I am in the orange part of the rubric. 

What do our names mean?

  

For Te Reo Maori we have been learning about the Te Ara Takitini. Next time we are going to learn about the Te Ara Whakatau.  

 For values, we have been learning about our environment  so we made a google drawing about it.

For literacy, we have been  seeing how many minutes we have done from the beginning of the year  and I think I have done great and have achieved something good .

Dancing like the stars 2019 

Dancing like the stars 2019  was really fun and I really enjoyed  it and I wish I could do it again and I really enjoyed watching all the other dances and my favorite one was the first one from the movie Shrek but I was a little bit nervous but as I was dancing I got more confident and I really enjoyed it.

Maori Adjectives

WE have been learning about maori adjectives and we had to move the faces when we were done to see how well we think we did my next step is to get at least three of them right. 

This week we have been trying to increase how many minutes we are spending on steps web and my time is 248 minutes and my next goal is to get up two three hundred minutes and I have enjoyed doing steps web this week.

In Whakamanawa we have been learning how to find out information about people online and our first person that we have tried to find information about is Cooper and we had to type them in these boxes .

te reo moāri assesment

 For te reo moāri we have done a sort of assessment you had to move the objects to the correct picture and the ones in the gree are the ones you got correct. 

My next step is to try and learn them all.

for maths we have done prototec and seeing how high we can get our percentage and so far i have got fifty five percent and my goal is  to  try and get one hundred percent and i think i have done well

For week one term two we have been trying to improve and so far i have done  fourty eight minutes but I am still trying to get one hundred percent accuracy

that is another one  of my goals but for me I think I have made an improvement. 

 

Dancing like the stars lesson one

For the very first lesson of dancing like the stars  we met shawn who taught us some dance moves and we were absolutely  perfect
and we learnt twenty five seconds  of the song but before that we had to warm up and then we danced the next lesson will be on friday 
and it will be a lot longer  and we will learn some more and maybe some different types of dancing and we will be performing in isaac theater when we a finished all the lessons but for me I really enjoyed it .

   Steps webs acheiviment 

 For learning we have been doing steps web to help us with our 

spelling writing and reading and we have seeing how many minutes we can do on steps web and what the percentage is and my goal is 

to only get gold medals and i am trying not to get silver or bronze medals so far it is going well and i am very proud in what i have 
achieved.
