Hi guys welcome to my blog and today I will be showing you what me and my friend Gerhold have been working on.

Political Decision making

 Hi guys and today I will be showing you what we have been learning about the parliament.

The government have five main priorities.

• 1 to represent the people of New Zealand.
• 2 to provide a government.
• 3 to hold the government to account.
• 4 to create laws.
• 5 to improve how tax pay money is spent. 

Then the people of Aotearoa get to vote twice, one for who they want to represent them locally, and two for which party they want governing  New Zealand. 

The party vote determines each number of seats and the government is formed by party or parties, in that house.

Then the prime minister selects mp's from that party to become ministers, they are given responsibilities to manage health,

Police, education, and transport.

The governments job is to run the country, purpose policy and laws and choose how tax pay money is going to be spent.

The  Oppositions  job is to hold the governments account and provide an alternative government waiting.

In my class we made a class treaty we split up in little groups and got a piece of paper and wrote some things for the treaty on it then shared it around with the other groups and they got a chance to rearrange the wording of the ideas, that is how they do it in the government.
